Crozon sits at the heart of its peninsula, in the Finistère department, in Brittany, between the Bay of Douarnenez and the Brest roadstead. Six camping establishments are listed in the town, benefiting from a spectacular coastline of cliffs and coves, largely protected within the Armorique regional nature park.
People camp here for particularly wild seaside landscapes, between rocky points and steep-sided beaches. Crozon draws in coastal hikers and lovers of fresh air, in an area where the sea can be discovered as much from clifftop paths as from the sand.
The peninsula lends itself to an active stay, between swimming in the coves and long walks along the coastal path that circles the whole area. Crozon suits a family stay centred on the beaches just as well as a stay more focused on hiking and nature. The campsite here benefits from an exceptional setting, surrounded by protected moorland and forests.
The Pointe de Pen-Hir, with cliffs over sixty metres high and rocks lined up at sea known as the Tas de Pois, is the most iconic natural site on the Crozon peninsula. The Sentier des Douaniers that runs alongside it offers panoramas over the Bay of Douarnenez and the Atlantic Ocean.
The peninsula, part of the Armorique regional nature park, also includes the Pointe des Espagnols, facing the Brest roadstead, and several steep-sided beaches such as Morgat. Crozon also keeps traces of its military past, with old forts and bunkers scattered along the coast, evidence of a strategic position coveted for centuries.
The Morgat sea cave, reachable by boat, and the peninsula's many sheltered coves round out an area particularly rich for lovers of coastal nature. Morgat's harbour, more sheltered, also offers a pleasant starting point for boat trips and sailing.

Every by the water campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.
We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.
