Everything about the campsites by the water in Saint-Cyprien

Saint-Cyprien, in the Pyrénées-Orientales department, in Occitanie, brings together eight campsites by the sea and one on the riverbank, a split that reflects the town's dual identity, between a seaside resort and an older Catalan village further inland.

Camping in Saint-Cyprien means enjoying direct Mediterranean access, on a sandy beach that stretches for several kilometres to Canet-en-Roussillon. The riverside campsite area, closer to the historic village, offers a different setting, geared towards the Roussillon plain and the market-garden crops that surround it.

This dual frontage, coastal and riverside, makes it possible to choose between the buzz of the seaside resort and a quieter stay closer to the original village.

to discover

What to see and do in Saint-Cyprien

Saint-Cyprien-Plage developed around a large marina, one of the most important in the Roussillon, nicknamed the Port du Soleil, where several thousand pleasure boats are moored at the foot of the homes. The painter Salvador Dalí, who stayed nearby at Port-Lligat, was a regular visitor to the area.

The historic village of Saint-Cyprien, inland, has kept its Catalan character, with narrow lanes and its church, quite different from the atmosphere of the seaside resort built later along the coast. Saint-Cyprien's golf course, well known in the south of France, rounds out the town's leisure offering.

The Roussillon plain surrounding the village remains marked by market gardening and winegrowing, a farming landscape that contrasts with the built-up seafront.

our method

How we select every campsite

1

A verified criterion, not a promise

Every by the water campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.

2

Reputation, backed by reviews

We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.

3

Direct booking, transparent pricing

You book directly with the campsite, no middleman or hidden markup. The price shown is the price you pay.
