Perpignan, the capital of the Pyrénées-Orientales department, in Occitanie, lies a few kilometres from the Mediterranean, crossed by the Têt, a river flowing down from the Catalan Pyrenees. The campsites in the town and its surroundings are split between the coast, towards Canet-en-Roussillon, the river and a coastal lagoon, reflecting the varied geography of the Roussillon.
Camping around Perpignan makes it possible to enjoy both the Catalan culture deeply rooted in the city and quick access to the beaches of the Roussillon, known for some of the highest sunshine levels in France.
