Lanton, in the Gironde department, is a town on the Arcachon basin, in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The campsite listed here is linked to a pond-type body of water, in keeping with Lanton's position on the edge of the basin, this vast semi-enclosed body of water rather than a seafront open onto the ocean as found further out, around Cap Ferret.
