Côtes d'Armor has 68 listed wateside campsites, very widely dominated by the coast: 58 establishments border the sea, against only five on river banks, five near a lake and two near a pond. This profile is naturally explained by the hundreds of kilometres of departmental coastline, between the Bay of Saint-Brieuc and the Pink Granite Coast.
The Pink Granite Coast, around Perros-Guirec and Ploumanac'h, as well as Cape Fréhel, count among the most prized sites for seaside camping. Rivers and bodies of water, much rarer, concentrate mainly inland, around the Nantes to Brest canal and enclosed valleys in the interior of the department.

Côtes d'Armor is famous for the Pink Granite Coast, spectacular coastline with pink rocks sculpted by erosion, between Perros-Guirec and Trégastel, and for Cape Fréhel, a promontory of cliffs housing a marine bird reserve. The Bay of Saint-Brieuc, known for its tides among Europe's strongest, completes this varied coastline.
Inland, the forest of Brocéliande, associated with Arthurian legends, borders the department, while the Nantes to Brest canal offers hiking and cycling routes along locks. The privateer city of Dinan and the port of Paimpol add a heritage and maritime dimension to the visit.
Between pink granite, islands and Celtic legends, Côtes d'Armor offers one of Brittany's most identifiable maritime facades.
