Perros-Guirec, in the Côtes d'Armor department, in Brittany, is one of the best-known resorts on the Pink Granite Coast. All the campsites in the town benefit from direct sea access, on a coastline famous for its rock formations with pink tones unique in France.
Camping in Perros-Guirec means above all enjoying this spectacular mineral landscape, between sheltered beaches and the coastal path that runs along the rocks sculpted by erosion. The resort has kept a seaside charm inherited from the Belle Époque, with its villas and casino, while remaining a popular starting point for boat excursions to the nearby nature reserve.
The Pink Granite Coast takes its name from the blocks of granite with pink tones that line the coastline between Perros-Guirec and Trégastel, particularly spectacular at sunset. The Sentier des Douaniers, which runs along the coast from Trestraou beach, makes it possible to discover these formations on foot, passing through the listed site of Ploumanac'h and its lighthouse.
Offshore, the Sept-Îles nature reserve is home to one of the largest colonies of seabirds in France, including puffins, observable on boat trips from Perros-Guirec's harbour. The resort also has a Romanesque church, Notre-Dame-de-la-Clarté, along with seaside heritage evidence of its tourist growth from the late nineteenth century onward.
