Manche is a sea-focused department: of 53 listed campsites, 47 are installed by the sea, against only 3 on river banks, 3 on pond banks and 1 on a lake bank. Nearly the entire offering thus follows the department's very long coastline.
This coastline extends from Mont-Saint-Michel to Cotentin, passing D-Day beaches to the east. Seaside campsites benefit from this coast diversity, between great sandy beaches and small rocky coves towards Cotentin point.
