Everything about the campsites by the water in Cannes

Cannes, in the Alpes-Maritimes department (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur), is known the world over for its coastline and its Croisette, but the campsites listed under this name are spread over a wider area than just the seafront, with access to the sea, to a lake and above all to rivers, such as the Siagne which reaches the Mediterranean a little west of the town.

This variety reflects the area's terrain, between the built-up coastline of the Bay of Cannes and a hillier hinterland, crossed by several small rivers flowing down to the sea.

Camping around Cannes means being able to combine access to the Mediterranean with more rural settings, by a river or a lake, just minutes from the Croisette and the bustle of the town.

to discover

What to see and do in Cannes

The Croisette, the famous seafront promenade, and the Palais des Festivals, which hosts the Cannes Film Festival every year, remain the images most associated with the town. The old harbour, overlooked by the Suquet hill and its old town, completes this seafront.

Offshore, the Lérins Islands, reachable in about twenty minutes by boat, are home to the Lérins Abbey on Île Saint-Honorat and the Royal Fort on Île Sainte-Marguerite, where the Man in the Iron Mask was once held.

To the west, the Siagne, a river that marks the boundary with Mandelieu-la-Napoule, offers a more natural setting, between reed beds and riverbank, very different from the bustle of the town centre and its grand hotels.

our method

How we select every campsite

1

A verified criterion, not a promise

Every by the water campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.

2

Reputation, backed by reviews

We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.

3

Direct booking, transparent pricing

You book directly with the campsite, no middleman or hidden markup. The price shown is the price you pay.
