Porticcio, in Corse-du-Sud, on the island of Corsica, lines the Gulf of Ajaccio, facing the town of Ajaccio across the bay. Most of the town's campsites benefit from direct sea access, complemented by one address on a riverbank, in an area where several waterways flow down from the nearby mountains towards the gulf.
Camping in Porticcio means enjoying long fine sandy beaches and generally calm water, sheltered by the shape of the gulf. The resort, more recently built than the town of Ajaccio, developed around seaside tourism while staying right next to the Corsican capital, reachable within minutes by road or boat shuttle.
