A 5-star campsite on Belle-Île-en-Mer
Camping Bordeneo is located at the site known as Bordeneo in Le Palais, the historic capital of Belle-Île-en-Mer. Its uniqueness is one of a kind: you have to cross by boat from Quiberon to reach the campsite, which adds a sense of immediate escape to the stay right from the start. The 5-star estate spans a carefully landscaped park, in the immediate vicinity of Bordeneo beach and the port of Le Palais with its famous Vauban fortifications. The pitches stand out for their generous size, which is rare for an island establishment where space is at a premium. Accommodation ranges from contemporary mobile homes to more spacious versions for large families. The peaceful, well-maintained setting is one of the campsite’s strong points. Open from 3 April to 20 September 2026, the establishment benefits from a rating of 8.4/10 across more than 200 customer surveys, and makes an excellent starting point for exploring Belle-Île in complete tranquillity.
Bar-snack bar, bike hire and island services
Camping Bordeneo offers a bar-snack bar, open during the season from 3 April to 20 September 2026, with takeaway pizzas, appetiser platters, ice cream and drinks to enjoy on the terrace. There is no restaurant on site, but the immediate proximity of the port of Le Palais and its seafood restaurants largely makes up for this: crêperies, fishermen’s bistros and gourmet restaurants are within a few minutes’ walk. On the entertainment side, the Capfun team runs high season with a programme suited to the intimate scale of the establishment and the island spirit. On-site bike hire is one of the most useful services: Belle-Île is best discovered by bike, along coastal trails and paths between fields and cliffs. Practical services include a convenience store, a daily bread delivery service, a launderette and wifi. Note: you need to plan the boat crossing to reach the campsite, and check the timetable for connections from Quiberon in advance.
Belle-Île by bike, the Côte Sauvage and Sauzon
Camping Bordeneo’s location makes it an ideal base for discovering Belle-Île-en-Mer in all its diversity. Cycling enthusiasts will enjoy the network of trails and small roads criss-crossing the island, taking in the famous Aiguilles de Port-Coton needles immortalised by Monet, the Grand Phare lighthouse and its panorama, and the unspoilt beaches of Donnant and Herlin. The Côte Sauvage, to the west, offers spectacular views over the raging ocean and some of the most beautiful hiking trails in Brittany. Sauzon, a charming fishing port with colourful houses, deserves half a day to stroll along the quay and enjoy a seafood platter for lunch. Le Palais and its Vauban citadel, 500 metres from the campsite, are absolutely worth discovering. For swimming enthusiasts, the beaches of Bordeneo, Donnant and Pointe Saint-Marc spread out their fine sand and crystal-clear water. At the campsite, entertainment keeps children busy and practical services let you do everything without hassle.
