Camping Le Grand Large: 50 m from the sea in the Fouesnant area
Camping Le Grand Large is located at 48 route du Grand Large, on the Pointe de Mousterlin in Fouesnant (29170). Its first characteristic: a location just 50 metres from the sea, one of the closest in southern Brittany. Here, you cross the dune and you’re there. The campsite is open from 10 April to 6 September 2026, covering five months of a Breton season tempered by sea breezes.
A Capfun-listed site, Camping Le Grand Large offers a varied range of air-conditioned mobile homes, chalets and pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Capacities of 2 to 8 people, welcoming both couples setting off to discover Finistère and large families on holiday.
The Grand Large’s distinguishing asset: its rich facilities for all ages, pools, slides, a pump track (rare!), a large play area. The Pointe de Mousterlin also offers an exceptional natural setting, partly classified as a protected area, with dunes, marshes and wild coastline.
Services and comfort at Camping Le Grand Large
On the catering side, Camping Le Grand Large has an on-site restaurant and bar-snack bar. The menu makes the most of local Finistère produce: fresh fish, oysters, seafood, kig ha farz for lovers of traditional cuisine, must-try crêpes and galettes, all washed down with Breton cider or chouchen. The bar keeps the evenings going in high season in a relaxed atmosphere.
On the facilities side, you’ll benefit from wifi in communal areas, bed linen and cleaning kit rental, a shared tumble dryer, fridge and washing machine rental subject to availability. The campsite’s grocery shop or the shops in Fouesnant and Beg-Meil are there for everyday shopping.
Conditions: pets accepted under conditions, wheelchair access, free cancellation offered. Motorcyclists and cyclists (the Breton coast is a cycling paradise) are welcome. Payments: credit card, cash, bank transfer, ANCV holiday vouchers. Reception speaks French and English and is happy to advise on must-see sights in the Fouesnant area.
Activities and leisure by the sea at Camping Le Grand Large
Entertainment is generous at Camping Le Grand Large in high season: sports tournaments, team games, themed evenings, mini-disco, mascots, a supervised kids’ club, beach entertainment. Children particularly enjoy the pump track, an original facility few campsites offer. On site: a multisports pitch, pétanque, table tennis, play areas and inflatable games.
On the sea side, direct access (50 m) opens up all the pleasures of the ocean: swimming in the Pointe de Mousterlin bay, paddleboarding, sea kayaking, sailing school (at the nearby sailing club), shellfish gathering (the sandbanks at low tide are among the most generous in southern Finistère), sand yachting, and long walks on the GR34 that runs along the coastline.
To explore the region, don’t miss Concarneau and its fortified Ville Close (15 minutes), Pont-Aven and its school of painters featuring Gauguin (20 minutes), Quimper and its cathedral (30 minutes), the Glénan islands reachable by boat (a paradise for diving and sailing), and of course the typical Breton markets. An authentic coastline still spared from mass tourism.
