Everything about the campsites by the water in Cassis

Cassis, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur), is a fishing harbour turned seaside resort, at the entrance to the Calanques massif. All three campsites listed face the sea, in one of the most iconic parts of the French Mediterranean coastline.

The town lies at the foot of Cap Canaille, one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, and at the entrance to the Calanques National Park, which stretches towards Marseille over several kilometres of rugged coastline.

Camping in Cassis means enjoying direct access both to the village, known for its old harbour and its vineyards, and to the surrounding calanques, among the most photographed landscapes on the Provençal coast.

to discover

What to see and do in Cassis

The calanques of Port-Miou, Port-Pin and En-Vau, reachable on foot or by boat from Cassis, are among the most famous in the Calanques National Park, with their white cliffs plunging into turquoise water.

Cap Canaille, which overlooks the town, rises to more than three hundred metres and is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, with a scenic road offering views over the whole bay.

The Cassis vineyards, among the oldest in Provence to hold a controlled designation of origin, cover the hills surrounding the village, while the old harbour, with its colourful houses and traditional boats, remains the heart of local life.

our method

How we select every campsite

1

A verified criterion, not a promise

Every by the water campsite is checked against its official listing and real photos, not a marketing pitch.

2

Reputation, backed by reviews

We cross-check public Google ratings and reviews. An establishment below family standards doesn't make the selection.

3

Direct booking, transparent pricing

You book directly with the campsite, no middleman or hidden markup. The price shown is the price you pay.
