Camping Sunêlia L’Émeraude occupies a wooded site in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, a village on the Côte d’Émeraude wedged between the Frémur estuary and the Béchet and Port Hue beaches. The sea is 800 metres away, Dinard 7 km and Saint-Malo about fifteen kilometres, which puts the campsite within immediate reach of northern Brittany’s major sights while keeping it in a lively village served by bus line 16, whose Ville Carrée stop is a three-minute walk away.
Rated 4 stars and part of the Sunêlia network, the site offers a broad range of rentals: Luxe and Prestige cottages with two or three bedrooms and one or two bathrooms, Loisir Confort mobile homes, chalets, unusual accommodation and pitches for vans and tents. The Green Key and Qualidog labels cover respectively the site’s environmental approach and its welcome for dogs, admitted up to 20 kg.
Catering revolves around the campsite restaurant and La Terrasse, supplemented by a snack bar and a bar for quick meals and evenings. A grocery shop and a bread service cover daily needs, and a self-service laundry is open every day, which comes in handy on long or rainy stays.
Reception opens from 9am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 7pm in low season, while the booking centre answers Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm. Arrival is from 4pm on a pitch and from 2pm in a rental unit, departure before 10am or midday depending on the formula. Visa and Mastercard as well as French ANCV holiday vouchers are accepted. Accommodation adapted for reduced mobility is available, and dogs under 20 kg are admitted for 7 euros a day, vaccinated and kept on a lead.
On site there is a multi-sports court, a fitness area and playgrounds for children. The kids’ club takes 4 to 12-year-olds in July and August, with an activity programme that spills into the pools: aqua-aerobics, water polo, evening events. Beyond the gates, the Côte d’Émeraude supplies the rest: the beaches of Saint-Briac and Lancieux, the coastal customs path, kayaking, shore fishing and cycle routes along the coastline.
Day trips abound across Ille-et-Vilaine: the ramparts of Saint-Malo and the Grand Bé islet, Dinard and its Villa Eugénie, the medieval old town of Dinan, Cap Fréhel and Mont-Saint-Michel. Dinard airport is 7 km away, which makes car-free stays straightforward.
