A large, airy campsite 900 metres from the sea
Camping Les Ondines occupies a vast plot on chemin du Tricot et des Tots, on the famous Côte Ouest of Vias-Plage. The 5-star establishment banks on space: pitches are generously sized, thoroughfares are wide, and the lawns are shaded by the pines of the coastal pine forest. Accommodation ranges from contemporary mobile homes to family lodges, complemented by pitches for tents and caravans. The park’s layout avoids the feeling of overcrowding sometimes found on the Languedoc coast in July and August. The area is both calm — Vias-Plage on the west side being quieter than the town centre — and well connected for reaching the shops, beaches and attractions nearby. Open from 7 May to 6 September 2026, the campsite holds a rating of 8.3/10 from over 700 customer surveys, with positive consensus on the quality of the layout and the summer entertainment.
Restaurant, bar and peak-season entertainment
The campsite has both a restaurant and a snack bar, both open throughout the season from 7 May to 6 September 2026. The restaurant showcases the classics of southern French cuisine — grilled dishes, salads, seafood dishes and kids’ menus — while the snack bar offers pizzas, sharing platters and ice cream for quick service after a day at the beach. The outdoor terrace pleasantly extends the dining room during the long summer evenings. As for entertainment, the Capfun team rolls out the Fun Dose programme: Clapou clubs for 4-6 year-olds, Politicator for 7-10 year-olds and Nobodys for teenagers, alongside pool wake-up sessions, sports tournaments and themed evenings several times a week. Practical services include a grocery shop for everyday shopping, morning bread delivery, Wi-Fi in the communal areas, a laundrette and the option to hire bikes to reach the sea in a matter of minutes.
The beach, cycling and nearby Catalan villages
Being 900 metres from the sea makes the beach at Vias-Plage the daily destination of the stay: it’s reached in a few minutes, on foot or by bike, and offers one of the longest fine sandy beaches on the Languedoc coast. The coastal cycle path running along the coast and the Canal du Midi makes getting around very pleasant, without needing to get back in the car. On site at the campsite, a multi-sports pitch, pétanque and table tennis tables keep sports fans busy every day. Heritage lovers will delight in the proximity of Agde and its fortified cathedral, ten minutes away, Fort Brescou out at sea, or Pézenas and its historic centre, twenty minutes away. The Canal du Midi offers boat trips or stand-up paddleboarding to discover the hinterland differently. For children, the Aqualand water park at Cap d’Agde, the Luna Park and the famous Aqualand are less than fifteen minutes away for full days of adventure.
