Camping Côte Vermeille: 0 m from the Mediterranean beaches
Camping Côte Vermeille opens onto the Mediterranean, at 2400 chemin des Vignes, 11210 Port-La-Nouvelle. Its major characteristic: direct access to the great wild beaches of the Côte Vermeille. No need to take the car to reach the sea: it’s right there, behind the dune. The campsite is open from 3 April to 27 September 2026, an extended season covering the first spring warmth as well as the last swims of September.
A Capfun-listed site, Camping Côte Vermeille combines comfortable accommodation (air-conditioned mobile homes, chalets, pitches for tents and caravans) with privileged access to the coastline. Capacities range from 2 to 8 people, suiting families as well as groups of friends coming to practise kitesurfing, wakeboarding or simply the dolce far niente on the beach.
The atmosphere here is southern: blue skies, warm evenings, a convivial mood that lasts right through to the end of summer. Between the campsite’s large water areas (heated pools, thrilling slides) and the nearby sea, you’re unlikely to get bored.
Services and comfort at Camping Côte Vermeille
Camping Côte Vermeille offers an on-site restaurant and bar-snack bar: a real convenience when you come back from the beach tired and hungry and don’t feel like cooking. A formula that appeals to groups of friends as well as families with teens.
On the practical facilities side: wifi in communal areas, linen rental, cleaning kits, a shared tumble dryer, fridge and washing machine rental subject to availability. The grocery shop is there for essential shopping, particularly handy with a long beach day to fill. Reception is in French and English.
On the practical side: pets accepted under conditions, wheelchair access, free cancellation offered. Motorcyclists and touring cyclists welcome. Payments: credit card, cash, bank transfer, ANCV holiday vouchers. Camping Côte Vermeille has really worked on its logistics so that all you have to do is enjoy the wild beaches and the Mediterranean sun.
Activities and leisure by the sea at Camping Côte Vermeille
In high season, Camping Côte Vermeille offers typical Capfun entertainment: sports tournaments, themed evenings, mini-disco, mascots for little ones, a supervised kids’ club, teen meet-ups, summer dances and big convivial gatherings. On site, the facilities are comprehensive: a multisports pitch, pétanque, table tennis, play areas and inflatable games, not to mention the water areas.
On the sea side, direct access to the Mediterranean opens the way to all coastal activities: swimming in warm sea water, kitesurfing and wakeboarding for thrills, paddleboarding at first light, sailing, snorkelling, shore fishing, boat trips from the harbour. The long wild beaches are ideal for walks on foot as well as afternoon picnics.
For a change, don’t miss the Sigean African reserve (30 minutes away), which offers a unique safari experience in the region. Carcassonne and its medieval citadel, Narbonne, the Canal du Midi, the Cathar abbeys or the vineyards of La Clape: the region concentrates a diversity of excursions that appeal to families as well as history and gastronomy enthusiasts.
