A 5-star campsite by a lake in the Corrèze
Camping Le Lac de Miel is located at 3326 route du Lac in Beynat, in the Corrèze, on the border with the Dordogne. Its lakeside setting is one of its major assets: you can access lake swimming directly from the campsite, on a landscaped, supervised beach. The 5-star estate spans an unspoilt natural setting typical of the southern Limousin, with shaded pitches alternating between sunny terraces and cooler areas under the trees. Unspoilt nature is the strong point here: an oak forest, waterside and absolute calm make up a restorative world far from the summer crowds. Accommodation ranges from contemporary mobile homes to family lodges, complemented by pitches for tents and caravans. Open from 7 May to 30 August 2026, the establishment holds a remarkable rating of 9.2/10 across more than 1,000 customer surveys — one of the best ratings in the region, praised for its lakeside setting and authenticity.
Bar-snack bar, entertainment and services amid nature
Camping Le Lac de Miel offers a bar-snack bar, open throughout the season from 7 May to 30 August 2026, with takeaway pizzas, appetiser platters, ice cream and drinks to enjoy on the terrace overlooking the lake. There is no restaurant on site, but the proximity of Beynat and the restaurants of the Corrèze largely makes up for this: fans of South-West cuisine — confit, duck breast, Sarlat-style potatoes, Limousin cheeses — will find authentic traditional restaurants within a short distance. On the entertainment side, the Capfun team runs high season with its Clapou clubs for 4-6 year-olds, Politicator for 7-10 year-olds, Nobodys for teens, as well as water wake-ups, sports tournaments and themed evenings. Practical services include a convenience store for everyday shopping, a daily bread delivery service, a launderette, wifi in communal areas and bike hire for exploring the country lanes of the Corrèze and the surrounding villages.
Lake, trails and the most beautiful villages of the South-West
The Lac de Miel’s location opens up an exceptionally rich playground. The lake itself, directly accessible from the campsite, offers supervised swimming, paddleboarding, pedal boats, fishing and a trail circling the entire lake for walking enthusiasts. The integrated fitness trail rounds out the offer for sports lovers. Within a short distance, several villages ranked among the most beautiful in France are well worth the effort: Collonges-la-Rouge, 25 minutes away, reveals its red sandstone houses in a unique medieval setting. Curemonte, Turenne and Saint-Robert complete this tour of the authentic Limousin. On the Lot side, Rocamadour, clinging to its dizzying cliff, is 45 minutes away — an absolute must. The Gouffre de Padirac, France’s largest natural cavity, visitable by boat on an underground river, is right next to Rocamadour. The Dordogne valley, with its castles and villages — Beynac, Domme, La Roque-Gageac — can be discovered in under an hour. Brive-la-Gaillarde, capital of the Corrèze, is twenty minutes away for shopping or a meal in town.
