On-site catering includes an à la carte restaurant and a bar-snack bar, both open from 3 April to 13 September 2026 for the entire season. The restaurant showcases Poitou cuisine with its regional classics, grilled dishes and children’s menus, in a dining room opening widely onto the park. The bar-snack bar offers pizzas, platters and ice cream for quicker gourmet breaks, with an outdoor terrace very popular in the evening. The Capfun team runs high season with its Fun Dose programme: Clapou clubs for 4-6 year-olds, Politicator for 7-10 year-olds, Nobodys for teens, as well as the classic water wake-ups, sports tournaments and show evenings several times a week. An on-site grocery shop helps with everyday shopping, a bread delivery service is offered every morning, and a launderette, wifi and bike hire round out the offer for a self-catering stay. Châtillon and Valence-en-Poitou have additional shops within a short distance.

Futuroscope, the Vallée des Singes and Poitiers’ heritage

Camping La Rivière’s location makes it a top-choice base for discovering the Vienne and its major tourist sites. The Futuroscope, just 30 minutes’ drive away, deserves a full day to fully enjoy its attractions and immersive shows. The Vallée des Singes, a renowned animal park, delights young and old alike in under an hour. Heritage lovers won’t want to miss Poitiers, whose historic centre houses the majestic Notre-Dame-la-Grande church, a jewel of Romanesque art, as well as the Saint-Jean baptistery and Saint-Pierre cathedral. The Marais Poitevin, around an hour away, offers a refreshing boat excursion through the Green Venice. On site, fishing by the riverbank, walks across the 16-hectare estate, canoe-kayaking and hiking along the Civraisien trails keep outdoor enthusiasts occupied.
