Camping La Pergola is located at 1 rue des Vernois, by Lake Chalain, in Marigny (39130). Its major characteristic: a location directly on the shore of the largest natural lake in the Jura, an exceptional natural site with turquoise waters, nestled in a green mountain cirque and protected for the beauty of its landscape. Open from 7 May to 21 September 2026, the season stretches over four and a half months to make the most of the Jura summer.

A Capfun-listed site, Camping La Pergola offers air-conditioned mobile homes, wooden chalets (in keeping with the mountain spirit) and pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Capacity of 2 to 8 people for families, couples and groups of friends coming to breathe the pure Jura air.

The surroundings are exceptional: Lake Chalain offers one of the most beautiful lakeside landscapes in France, with waters of a turquoise blue rare in mainland France. Forests, meadows and limestone cliffs surround the body of water, lending the site an almost alpine dimension.

The menu showcases Jura flavours: Comté, Morbier and Bleu de Gex among the cheeses, Haut-Jura cured meats, fish from the lake (notably whitefish and perch), accompanied by the unique wines of the Jura (vin jaune, vin de paille, savagnin). The bar keeps the evenings going in high season in a convivial atmosphere, ideal for meeting other lake and mountain enthusiasts.

On the practical facilities side, you’ll benefit from wifi in communal areas, bed linen and cleaning kit rental, a shared tumble dryer, fridge and washing machine rental. The on-site grocery shop or nearby shops are there for everyday shopping.

In high season, Camping La Pergola offers an entertainment programme suited to a natural setting: sports tournaments, themed evenings (often centred on Jura themes), kids’ club, mini-disco, mascots, lakeside entertainment. On site: a multisports pitch, pétanque, table tennis, play areas. The atmosphere is more relaxed than at coastal complexes, in keeping with the unspoilt surroundings.

On the lake side, direct access opens up all the lake’s pleasures: swimming in turquoise water, paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing school, windsurfing, scuba diving for enthusiasts (unique archaeological interest with the remains of prehistoric lake dwellings), lake fishing (trout, perch, whitefish, pike). The trails circling the lake offer walks on foot or by mountain bike, with exceptional panoramas.
